For Scientists

InES pursues the paradigm of a theory-centric design of enterprise systems. Theoretical-empirical findings are leveraged and inform the design of enterprise systems.

Research at InES is following a multi-method approach: Empirical methods of the social sciences are combined with instruments of the natural science, specifically computer science.  Our research activities leverage a wide spectrum of research methods: Case study research, action research, survey-based studies, Lab and field experiments as well as design-science oriented approaches (e.g. prototyping). In our work we leverage economic theories as well as theories from reference disciplines such as psychology and sociology.
